Hey everyone!

First off, I wanted to give a great big thank you and congrats to all who helped out with the De Anza flea market!

We were able to raise up to $850!
You guys are such an awesome group!

I wasn't able to stay the whole day, but from what I saw, our booth was really popular! Excellent job, guys. Let's keep it up!

Here are some quick updates and things to keep in mind for tomorrow's meeting:

Vaccines and $800 on Empowered Account

Just a reminder that all of you should be keeping up with your vaccines. There is a list provided in the Step by Step Guide for Brigaders linked to the right. Also, the $800 deposit on your Empowered account is due July 4th, 2013. Remember: this DOES NOT mean you must deposit an entire $800 into your account, but there must be a TOTAL of $800 on your account by July 4th.

Committee and Committee Leaders

Now that we have our roster and I've gotten an idea of what you guys are interested in getting involved with, I've put together some committees and committee leaders to take lead on
  • Charla Prep/Spanish Workshops
  • Vital Signs and Infection Control Workshop
  • Fundraising
  • Mock Brigade Prep
  • Medication and Supplies Committee 
The committees will be discussed in tomorrow's meeting followed the next steps that each group should take.

Acquisition of Medications and Supplies

So, for those of you that attended the last meeting already know, the club has decided to purchase our medications through the Global Brigades Brigades Box and a Custom Box from Blessings International. However, this will not cover all the supplies we will need. Below I have provided a list of all the supplies and over-the-counter medications we still need to collect. (This would be a great job for the Fundraising and/or Medication and Supplies Committee!)

We're getting closer and closer to the brigade date! I have enjoyed being a part of this stellar group and am very excited for our brigade to come!
