Hello everyone!

Last Friday was the last meeting of this quarter. So, if you weren't able to make it, here's what you need to be catching up on..

 Club Committees

Please see to the right that I have placed you all into specific committees to take care of the jobs that need to be done before our brigade. This means that it is now your responsibility to be proactive and meet with your fellow committee members outside of school. The names that are shown in red are committee leaders. The jobs of each committee are as follows:

Charla/Spanish Workshop: To prepare for our charla for our brigade. This may include skits, songs, presentations (in Spanish!) for young children concerning personal/dental hygiene and preventive health. You will also act as our Spanish tutors for the July 13th workshop. This means preparing useful phrases in Spanish as well as medical terms. I will provide you will the "cheat sheets" that we used last year.

Vitals Signs/Infection Control/Fluoride Treatment: Phyllis Spragge, our Dental Hygiene Director, will be leading this workshop. I will have you all get into contact with her so she may let you all know how she would like it organized. During our July 26th workshop, you will all be training our members how to take vital signs properly, how to apply fluoride varnish, and the importance and application of infection control in a clinical environment.

Fundraising: This committee is pretty self-explanatory..Fund raise! Our brigade is less than two months away now, but that doesn't mean we can't hold any more fundraisers! Try thinking of holding another on campus fundraiser during Summer Session or perhaps another benefit concert. Be creative and let's make the most our of these last two months!

Medications/Supplies: Please see to the right the LIST OF MEDICATIONS/SUPPLIES that we still need to collect or have donated. Medications/Supplies committee, this is your job! Contact your local pharmacy for donations or hold donation drives outside your local businesses. Holding donation drives would be an awesome way this committee could team up with Fundraising.

Mock Brigade: This committee will be in charge of holding our Mock Brigade during our July 26th workshop. We will prepare a simulation (that the whole club will participate in!) of what a real brigade would look like.  This way we'll all be familiar of what is to come this August.

If you are still unsure of your new found duties, please contact either Gabe or myself.

I will be emailing you all the club's email roster so you may contact your fellow committee members and prepare for your committee's specific duties. Again, it is now upon you all to take the initiative and take care of your specific duties outside of school. I will keep you all updated via email or we can meet off campus if needed.

Good luck and enjoy your holiday.
