Hope all of you are hangin' in there (less than 2 weeks left and then finals!)
I wanted to give a big shout out to the fellow brigaders that were able to come out and help with the Escape Fire movie screening last Friday. Thank you all for reaching out to your friends and family. We raked in $240 from this event. Congrats, guys!
The next fundraiser that we all should be gearing up for is the Dana Street Roasing Co. Benefit Concert. The specifics of time and place are under EVENTS to the right. Some of our members have done a great job by passing out and posting printed flyers for the event, but I ask that all of you continue to spread the word! Tell your family and close friends. Bring your friends. Bring a date. Who wouldn't want to sit back and listen to some easy tunes with some friends as well as support a great cause the weekend before finals? Brigades also plans to set up a donations table. So, we will need some members to man the table and bring laptops so donations may be made online.
Medical Brigades is going to squeeze in one last fundraiser before the quarter ends. We will be holding a coffee and doughnut stand on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 from 9:45AM-10:45AM. We will need people to help man the booth for sales and for answering any questions about the club that students or faculty may ask. This Wednesday is during finals week. So, please check the syllabi for your classes to check what day and time your finals are.
If the date and time for this event does not conflict with your schedule, then Medical Brigades is asking for your help! (Brigaders in BIO1B: our final isn't until 2:00PM on this day! So, we would definitely be able to help for the beginning portion!) Below I have provided you with the sign up sheet for this event. Please provide your name and the times you may be able to help.

Also, if anyone has any connections with beverages, such as coffee, that could be donated for this event, please let us know! Feel free to reach our to your local Peet's or Starbucks. Apparently they donate their products to causes like this often.
I wanted to close this entry by posting a video I found while browsing Global Brigades videos. This is an introductory video for a Medical Brigade. I feel like this video would be great for new members so you guys can get a better idea for what is to come this August! Feel free to watch this at your leisure and bring any questions you may have to the next meeting.
