Some important information ~ please read!
1) Please help out at the flea market this Saturday! We are still short about $1000 and running out of time to raise funds.
2) We have lost our OBD rep replacement, unfortunately. We desperately need someone to come forward to take on this responsibility ~ we have a $12,000 grant from ASFC that we will not be able to access without official club status. We need an OBD rep to maintain our club status. We need the $12,000 to pay for medications ~ without it, there will be no brigade (unless one of you wants to donate $12K?). PLEASE ~ if you can attend weekly OBD meetings on Tuesdays, 1-2 pm, contact Swaran to get started!
3) Deadline to make your $250 deposit to your empowered account is two weeks away (May 13) ~ please do not wait until the last moment to set up your empowered account. You must be accepted into our initiative by one of us (co-advisor or co-president) before your account will be activated. No account ~ no brigade (this is a rule established by the Global Brigades). Your $250 deposit is nonrefundable, so once you have made the deposit, consider yourself committed to a trip to Honduras this summer.
4) Let me know if you are a minor (under 18) or a traveler under 21. Both of these require special permission forms from Global Brigades.
