Congratulations on the first successful fundraiser for the 2015 brigade - you made $412.25 at this weekend's DeAnza flea market! Thanks to all who helped, and a special shout-out to Swaran, who did so much to organize this and worked very hard meeting folks to collect their donations.

As we were packing up the unsold items yesterday, we discussed a few plans for preparing for the next flea market to make it run even more smoothly - and perhaps to increase the sales. Primarily this involves pre-sorting clothing and books - something we can do during a few club meetings in winter quarter. Even though we don't have our next flea market scheduled, there WILL be another one, so keep your eye out for donations and let your friends and family know we are always collecting things.

There will be no meeting on Monday (tomorrow). We will schedule them again as soon as winter quarter starts. Our first priority for winter quarter will be the ASFC grant - deadline is in January, and we don't want to miss that.

Good luck with your finals and have a joyous holiday season with your families and friends.

This flea market wouldn't have been a success without all of the people that helped. Thanks to professor Edwards for letting us borrow her van, and help with the initial setup. Shout out to Daniel and Joel for help with initial sales, initial set up, and help with cleaning up and taking stuff back to foothill. Shout out to Ryan who also helped in the initial sales. Shout out to summer for giving us an idea of how much some of the clothes were worth and for helping with initial clothes sorting. Another shoutout to Meli, and Shahil who as new members really helped a lot. Meli was great at sorting clothes and selling during the middle hours. Shahil thanks so much for tent, tables, and help with selling. Also thanks for both of your help in the cleaning process. A special thanks to Meli's boyfriend, Sam, who even though not part of club still helped with the cleaning process and hauling stuff into cars. Last but not least shout out to Avinika and professor Erickson for their help in packing stuff back up and hauling stuff back to foothill. Without all the people that came to help this fundraiser wouldn't have been that successful.
